I’ll be in Chicago a grand total of 78 hours. For the four hours I’ll be running (make that, fingers crossed, 3 hours 45 minutes), I packed:
– shorts, capris & long running tights (just in case!)
– two short-sleeved shirts (couldn’t decide…USAT National Championships, or 2011 Boston Marathon? Don’t want to put pins in either, but they both make me feel strong and trust me around Mile 20 I’ll need all the help I can get!)
– long-sleeved shirt (Boston Marathon 2011)
– yucky pants and sweatshirt I can toss at the start if necessary
– Sauconys
– footpod, charger, heartrate monitor and two Garmins…I like to have Plan Bs π
– race belt
– 1200 calories’ worth of M+Ms, jelly beans, sports beans and pretzels
– eight elastic bands to affix those calories onto that race belt
– two visors, two pairs of shades
– BodyGlide
As for the other 74 hours and 15 minutes…I think I threw something in the suitcase to wear then! π
