If Andy Warhol was right and everyone gets 15 minutes of fame, my lifetime supply will be exhausted long before Pair C and I head to Hopkinton.
Yesterday I got a call from Kristen Doucet, who is the anchor at local TV station WMCT. Kristen heard about me via Andy Schachat; if you’re among the few (the unfortunate) who feel obligated to read this blog regularly, you may recall that name even if you’d be hard-pressed to pronounce it. I met and blogged about Andy back in January; he’s the announcer who calmed me down pre-BP-16. He and I became Facebook friends thereafter (gotta love Facebook) and ever since he’s been intermittently following my wackiness (a fate I’ve forced upon all of my FB friends–sorry ’bout that, folks; I’m a wee bit excited).
Andy apparently thought Kristen and I should meet. And so meet, apparently, we will–at some point tomorrow or Monday–so Kristen can do a story about my run for Children’s Hospital for the show Marlborough This Week. That’s really all I know right now. Well, that’s not entirely true; I also know that between the TV show, my Hopkinton Patch columns and the Metrowest Daily News article, the locals will be sick and tired of hearing about me!
Enjoy your day!
